Oxy Smart Oxygen Analyzer
The Oxy Smart Oxygen Analyzer is a handheld, precise, digital oxygen analyzer. The Oxy Smart comes equipped with a rechargeable battery that provides about 9 hours of battery life. The oxygen analyzer also comes with a stainless-steel testing probe and a measuring cell made of zirconium oxide to help reduce the required maintenance of the oxygen analyzer. The Oxy Smart is intended for inert gasses and mixed gasses with hydrogen (max 10%).
The robust design, with a rubber protective frame, allows the operators to use the analyzer in work environments such as construction sights. The Oxy Smart is also dust and splash proof to allow for use in dusty or high humidity environments.
The color-illuminated display helps to distinguish various different types of information. The display also includes a battery charge indicator icon and displays error messages if a fault occurs.
Precise purging is essential for controlling weld quality, particularly when welding high-alloy, corrosion-resistant materials. The entered oxygen value (in ppm) in the controller is arbitrary. If not specified otherwise, a value of < 30 ppm is generally sufficient at the beginning of the welding process. Welding will not commence until the measured value drops below the programmed threshold. The oxygen analyzer is calibrated to measure oxygen content in the relevant range for welding <30ppm within +/- 2ppm precision.
